Behind every Green Architects landscape is a team that rarely fits a single title. Landscape architects, horticulturists and agricultural engineers work side by side — so design intent, ecology and buildability are considered together, from the first sketch to the final planting. Our blog is called Insights; our people page could only ever be called The Grove.

An academician at heart, T. Joseph Viju brings a rare blend of scholarly rigor and practical leadership to Green Architects. He steers the organization with a clear vision and mission — building sustainable, design-led landscapes that stand the test of time — while fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and environmental responsibility across the team.
Under his guidance, Green Architects has grown into a multidisciplinary consortium bringing together landscape architecture, horticulture, agricultural engineering, and site execution expertise under one roof, delivering projects that are as functionally sound as they are ecologically conscious.

Landscape Architecture
A landscape architect with over 15 years of professional experience, Shanmuhananth specializes in high-end residential communities, commercial developments, hospitality, and institutional projects across India and the Middle East. He has led landscape design for premium developments for leading corporates such as Purvankara and Brigade Group, and as Lead Landscape Architect at AECOM directed the design and delivery of major landscape projects across the Middle East — large-scale master plans, public realm developments, and mixed-use projects. His work reflects a strong balance of creative vision and execution rigor.
Landscape Architecture
An innovative and forward-thinking landscape architect with over eight years of professional experience, Vaishali specializes in climate-responsive design, sustainable landscape solutions, and highly functional space planning. She has a proven track record of executing high-profile corporate landscape projects for leading clients including Ford, Infosys, Ramanujam IT Park, HCL, Park Hotel, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and Futura Techpark. Her design philosophy blends ecological responsibility with practical, site-responsive solutions built to perform in demanding corporate environments.
Landscape Horticulture
With over 20 years of experience spanning horticulture, agriculture, and landscape design, Dr. Mathavan brings deep technical expertise in fountain and pond design, irrigation systems, organic pest management, and large-scale afforestation. He has led landscape and horticulture operations for Ramco Cements Ltd. and directed a 2,500-acre biofuel cultivation project. He currently oversees project execution and conducts on-site maintenance visits across the consortium’s active projects, ensuring design intent is preserved from planning through long-term upkeep.
Landscape Horticulture
Holding an M.Sc. in Horticulture and currently pursuing a Ph.D., Jawahar specializes in soil health and plant nutrition, garden maintenance, site planning, and fruit farming. He brings in-depth knowledge of project building and site analysis, working closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute farm design and development projects from concept through completion. Known for meticulous site assessments and a collaborative approach, he plays a key role in keeping designs agronomically sound and practically executable on the ground.
Agricultural Engineering
A B.Tech graduate in Agricultural Engineering, Hema brings hands-on expertise in landscape execution, turf grass installation, and site supervision. She has experience in project execution and maintenance activities, ensuring landscapes are delivered to specification and sustained over time. Driven by a passion for sustainable landscaping, she combines strong attention to detail with a proactive, ever-learning approach to deliver consistent, quality outcomes on every site she manages.
